Book Description: Sweet, shy, and devoted Amish woman, Jane Bontrager secretly hates her childhood nickname of Plain Jane. She doesn't know who started the ugly name back in her school days, but she can never forget how it has long made her feel. Jane has a huge crush on Amish buggy maker Samuel Mast, but they are both so shy they are more likely to turn old and gray alone than to ever get together--especially since Samuel holds a secret or two of his own. What can bridge the gap between two young people who both deserve love and happiness? My Thoughts: This is a fun read. Not so serious and not too mysterious.
Jane has a serious dislike for her childhood nickname, Plain Jane. Funny how those childhood "issues" can carry right into adulthood and sometimes create a "silly" standoffishness that seems like shyness but is in reality a lack of self worth. Well, this seems to be Jane's problem.
And then Jane meets Samuel Mast. OOOH LAAA LAAA! Jane feels like she has more than a crush doe Samuel.
But poor Samuel has a couple of "secrets" that make him seem shy when in reality he too is struggling with an issue that may or may not be serious in a relationship. A little mystery here.
I enjoyed this story. It's full of honest to goodness love and kindness.
Also, Jane and Samuel both long to have a good relationship.
With Valentine's Day just around the corner this makes a great gift.
Don't miss this for loving, all about Amish life with a hint of mystery and romance.
