My Thoughts: A great grandmother's diary with information about a treasure on a an oil tycoon's land, a young lady who wants to find the diary and a security guard who takes his job quite seriously.
This is one of those reads that isn't really mystery nor is it a love story but my.o.my! it's the best of both!
The mystery of the long lost diary and the young woman who sets out to find it---no matter the cost---because it's her heritage and, well, there's a treasure involved. A treasure that the young lady, Millie Sullivan not only needs but feels that it's right to have.
But there's this security guard, Ben Thornton, who takes his job quite seriously.
What a fantastic and fun read of dark hallways and escapades of trying to find the quite elusive diary.
