Lethal Target (The Line of Duty Book 2) by Janice Cantore

Book Description:  Police Chief Tess O’Rourke thought she’d taken care of her small town’s drug problem last year. But now Rogue’s Hollow residents are up in arms over a contentious vote on legalizing the sale of marijuana within city limits. And when an eighteen-year-old is found dead of a possible overdose, Tess wonders if the local pot farms might be involved and begins to fear that a new, deadlier drug supply chain has cropped up. As tempers flare and emotions boil over, Tess faces the possibility of losing the town’s support.

My Thoughts: Police Chief Tess O’Rourke has gotten rid of the drug problem in her small town but now the residents are literally up in arms over the legalizing of marijuana in this small town.
And then an eighteen year old is found dead from a "it looks like a drug overdose."
Tess is having a hard time keeping the town's support and on top of it all it seems that more drugs maybe filtering into the town.  More drugs equals more problems.  And then a familiar voice comes and she knows she needs help to battle this problem.
Since her relationship with Sergeant Steve Logan is not going well she turns to Pastor Oliver Macpherson.  But Tess has deep rooted issues from her past and religion is the last thing she is looking for in her life.
An interesting and at times complex plot that thickens with Tess and the town's troubles.
