Book Description: In book one, The Machine, twin siblings Jake and Jenny have just lost their mother and are not thrilled about moving to Israel to stay with their seldom seen archaeologist dad. They don’t yet understand how “all things work together for good to those who love God.” But they will when a machine their father invented points them to the Truth.
My Thoughts: Bill Myers is one of our favorite youth authors. He writes with a wit and wisdom that will not only have you laughing out loud but will have you thinking.
This book is for readers ages 8-14. And yes, adults may enjoy this story too. Time Machine: Truth Seekers is the first book in this series.
Jake and Jenny are twins and now that their mom has gone on to her heavenly reward they must move to Israel to live with their dad who is an archaeologist. Israel seems like another planet. But what a place to find the truth!
Being young and full of energy the twins find themselves a little bored with nothing to do. So, their smart dad makes them a time machine. This time machine takes them on an adventure where they learn that "all things work together for good to those who love the Lord."
This is a fun read with adventure that keeps the young reader guessing what adventure lies around the next corner for the Jake and Jenny.
My 13 year old enjoyed the Time Machine and I hope your young reader will enjoy seeking the truth, too!
