My Review: Double Take is one of the best Teen/Amish fictions reads! Not only is it fresh and fun but Ms. Carlson brings out "true life" happenings and the reader feels the pain, the misery, and the glamour!
Madison is a rich teen with a great attitude! I truly enjoyed Madison's take on life. She knows the truth and when to speak the truth! She, also, knows when to let go.
Anna is Amish. Anna is more realistic than Madison but she truly wants to experience the "other side of the fence." Madison has given her that chance. Anna has given Madison the chance to experience Amish family life, child care, and the "fun" of living plain.
Anna's Aunt Rachel is a character that I really began to like. At first I, too, thought she was lazy and needed to much care but as the story progresses I really liked Aunt Rachel!
This is one of those stories that just gets better. This story seems like a "take off" of The Prince & The Pauper or The Country Mouse & The Town Mouse but whichever story doesn't matter~ if you love Amish fiction with a twist then grab this read! It's Wonderful!

I really think that a reader can't go wrong when they pick up a Melody Carlson book, she is a very diverse writer that always weaves a good story. Great review!
