Grandma's Attic {Books 1 & 2} by Arleta Richardson

Book Description: A young girl delights in her grandmother’s stories of days gone by, sparked by keepsakes and simple questions, Grandma shares marvelous stories of mischief , discovery, and laughter, such as the time she accidentally lost the family buggy.
Part of the bestselling Grandma’s Attic series, these charming tales—updated with delightful new illustrations—will whisk you away to another time and place. And you’ll find something worth far more than any treasure or keepsake…timeless lessons of life and faith!

My Review:  When I was a young reader I loved In Grandma's Attic series.  In this review I'll be telling you about books one and two, In Grandma's Attic and More Stories from Grandma's Attic.
This is a wonderful series for young girls ages 7-12.  Each book begins with a young girl asking, "What is this?"  Grandma replies and then grandma takes us on a "trip" though the "olden days" where buggies, barn dances and hooped dresses were the popular trends of grandma's day.
Mabel and Mary Jane are fun girls who are repentant when they do wrong and live life to the fullest knowing they are loved and well cared for.
The stories are wonderful reminisces of days gone by but also have a moral that grandma shares with her granddaughter.
In book one grandma shares about how pride goes before a fall.  Then in book two grandma shares life on the farm.  Describing a litter of unexpected kittens in grandma's kitchen.
These delightful stories from the past are sure to please the young reader, as well as, the older reader!
